Well, alright then, I’ll brew up the pot….
I’ve been roped into helping plan the next Renn. Faire again- I may not be able to comment a whole lot for a few weeks (Dang!) and I sure won’t be able to stitch together the whole day’s trial action using bits and pieces of In Session and HLN, so it’s a good thing you’ve got these marvelous links!

If you go to this article and look at the picture of the baby killer you will notice a hump, bump or lump over her right eye. In court she seemed to have them on both sides. What causes this? i’ve never seen this so prominent before. It almost looks like a devil horn, IMO. Sorry, I just loathe this shell of a human being.

  7. Karen C~~it will be my pleasure.

I had company the past couple of days so just made a couple quick visits to my blog.. I still have some catching up to do…

  8. Wow, thats really nice of you Karen. Unfortunately too far away for me here in California. I’ve been to two out here. one in Marin County and the other in Lake Tahoe, but they were both over 20 years ago.

  9. Newbie says:

Actually, the belly dance on the table wasn’t from the caffeine as much as it was from the company I was keeping…..lol.

  10. Newbie says:

    lol….that’s good !!!

  11. Newbie says:

You must have had a super time with your daughter…..you are just full of it tonight….
Think we all should have some fun before tomorrow and the trial. I have been arguing with myself tonight about this trial. One part of me says I have better things to do than wait for JM to nail this skank and another part says “like what.” JM is an exception in my opinion. He prepares and knows his case well, is quick on his feet, and really is passionate about justice. He has done an excellent job in even remembering his questions while Jodi tries to throw him off with her dribble and then “what was the question.”

  12. Newbie~~a break from the blog does wonders sometimes. When this trial is over, I am going to miss the spry little man. I love watching his strategy and am intrigued about him mentioning Matt McCartney, almost in a taunting way. I believe Matt is on the defense witness list…but that wont stop Juan… I am interested in the forged letters and the coded msg in those 2 magazines.

    Gotcha Vicky….!!!!!

  20. Newbie says:

Youuuuu-Whoooo Vicky ! KU Basketball tonight. In scanning comments here I see I responded to you with a Gotcha Vicky. Were you scratching your head when you saw that?? I don’t know why but I thought we were on an Arias post and not in the coffee shop so didn’t want to say a whole lot. I remember thinking you must be tired to make a basketball comment on the Arias threat…..lol. It just goes to show you I can’t keep track of myself half of the time.

I’m also pulling for the Florida cinderalla team !!!!!!!

Hello to Karen and Suzanne, Mystical and all others. I stopped naming names as I saw the Master (Snoops) get in a little hot water over doing that….note I did say “a little” hot water.

  21. Vicky says:

Steve and oldest grandson went to the tournament in KC and have tickets if they make it to the final four. Tonight we will be watching them downstairs in our home theatre. Grandson and I are pulling for the Florida underdogs as well. I really hope the Hawks go all the way again.

  22. Newbie says:

Tickets !!!!!!! What a great memory Steve and the grandson will have IF they make it. I must say I’ve gotten old enough that watching the game from home uses all my energy…lol. The thought of having to get out, find the car, drive to a motel, etc etc after a game is exhausting. But, I sure can enjoy the thought of others being there and enjoying all of it !!

  23. Vicky says:

Newbie, I had to take a break from the game. It was was too loud in my basement. KU needs to settle down! Can you believe Wichita won this evening!!!

  24. Newbie says:

I am to nail biting !! We are 45 seconds left in overtime and two points behind…..egads !!!!!
Yep, Wichita State, it’s going to be the only Kansas team left o o o 23.4 seconds to play and Wolverines have the ball….call a time out….whew….I know now how I’m going to kick the bucket….having a heart attack watching the end of this game. Oh Lord eight seconds, we get the vall still at two points behind….Withey blocked their shot seconds earllier

  25. Newbie says:

Good heavens, refs are still looking at whether the eight seconds left is correct……9.4 left….oh Johnson….stupid stupid stupid…why did you pass that ball out?????????????????????
    Michigan just claims the win….chit.

  26. Newbie says:

Vicky, put your glasses on ! Wichita State play Ohio State tomorrow at 6 p.m.

  27. Vicky says:

Well, I’m bummed. Hopefully, Wichita will make it to the final four. KU had a 14 point lead and gave that game away!

  28. Vicky says:

Wichita won tonight and have to play again tomorrow. They will be worn out!

  29. mystical pippin says:

As long as you can keep track the OTHER half Newbie 🙂 …… but you lost me on the last few sentences there. what d’ya mean by you stopped naming names??

  30. Pippin~~Newb was referring to me when I posted all those Yakker names….big mistake on my part!

  31. mystical pippin says:

Vicky – need to pick your brain on Jodi’s make-over.
What do you think about her and Willmott dressing alike everyday for the past 2 weeks or so? Not only that but it appears that Jodi is now mimicking Willmott’s movements. Dr Drew put together a montage of video clips that prove this is happening. Its so bizarre. He didn’t really say what its called or if it even has a name but he did say it was CREEPY and dangerous.

Whoops, comment to Snoops thru a p.s.
No, I don’t think I like this format.

  36. I am going back to the old format…no Reply feature…it is too easy to miss comments… sorry Pippin…here is a hug..

  37. mystical pippin says:

    😦

  38. mystical pippin says:

Am I the only one who doesn’t get answers to most of their posts? thats why I like the reply button. Also so I can directly respond to others without having to go to the bottom – it always seems to get lost in the mire of current posts.

  39. Vicky says:

Happy Easter to our Christian friends and Happy Pesach to our Hebrew friends. The Lord is Good.

  40. Vicky says:

Hey Newbie, Can you believe Wichita State has made it to the final 4! Hu.bby and grandson will be able to really enjoy their after all. LOL

  41. There have been 14 comments made in here today and 11 at my last post!

That is not many comments to have to scroll thru to get to the bottom of the page. If someone doesn’t come to the blog for a few days and starts to reply to comments way upthread, they will not be seen by the one the response is intended for. I set this blog up in July/09 and had the Reply activated…after a few days I deactivated it… things have gone smoothe with no complaints… I have to go by what the majority likes and frankly, I do not like the Reply myself. Sorry, Pippin.

  42. Vicky says:

It’s easy to miss comments or to forget to respond to a comment from time to time. My suggestion is to repost a question or comment if it is overlooked. Or to let someone know you asked a question at an earlier time with the date and time for reference. When things fet really busy, I know I’m guilty of scrolling to the end and going back if I have time.

  43. Newbie says:

Vicky, I thought about your hubby and grandson when Wichita St. was playing and when they won ! Made the win even sweeter….lol. I think some fans are still in shock about Ku’s loss yet we do still have a Kansas team in the Final Four. I know the brackets are a mess (mine included). The upsets have been something and people I know didn’t pick Syracuse or Wichita State to make it very far less being in the final four. Woot! Whoot!

  44. Newbie says:

MysticalPippin….I know many times I don’t get answers also so no, you’re not the only one. After reading your comment I realized that I’m not good at giving answers to questions. I know I plan on being more attentive now.

  45. Vicky says:

Newbie, No, they were at the tournament games in Kansas City. They are headed to Atlanta next weekend for the final four. We watched last night’s game and today’s games from home. I didn’t see the Wichital game the other night. I thought it was earlier Friday, but it was Thursday. I’m not as big a basketball fan as the rest of my family. My BIL went to Vegas last weekend.
Grandson was very disappointed that KU lost, but is willing to accept Wichita asna consolation.LOL but he thinks Louisville will beat Duke, and that they will also beat Wichita. He predicts Louisville and Florida fornthe finals.
    What say you?

  46. Newbie says:

I always feel that Easter is more of a Thanksgiving. No matter what your beliefs are, it is wonderful that we have the liberty of celebrating in our own manner and that we all are blessed.
HAPPY EASTER ! And, based on my personal beliefs, I would like to say thank you to the Heavenly Father.

  47. mystical pippin says:

I gotcha Snoop. I guess everybody is used to the way its been for a long time and I’m the only one who prefers it different. I understand you gotta go with the majority.

Just to be clear when I was talking about having to scroll down to the bottom I meant if you want to respond to an older post. Like from several days to a few weeks ago. I don’t get a chance to keep up most of the time so I go back and look at old stuff and then I want to respond to it thats all. There are other reasons that I like that button too – not just the one.
I only mean that its something I’ve thought about for a awhile and not just a passing whim. I didn’t even know you could or would do it when I mentioned it. So thanks for giving it a try anyways.

    moving on….

here’s a bit of interesting news that may or may not be effecting some. It hasn ‘t effected me but I’m on the west coast.

Vicky, I notice when we talk basketball some things get confused….I’m not even going to explain….lol. I think Wichita State will lose next weekend and Duke will also lose so I’m with your grandson on it coming down to Lousville and Florida. But, I’m going to enjoy thinking this next week that Wichita State just might pull the biggest upset ever….lol.

  58. Vicky
I don’t know….. there are so many evil people on that Wikipedia page its frightening to think about how many of them have we’ve had here in the U.S. I wonder if other countries have had as many serial killers as America has. But I think Jodi fits right in there with the worst of them because she has at least one of the qualifications in most of the depravity choices in the survey. She fits into the one that talked about inflicting more pain on the victim then was necessary, there was one about gloating afterwards about the killing and demonizing the victim – like they deserved to be killed, another thats about premeditation and another about cold, calculatting personality thats detached and feels no remorse. Jodi is all of that and more.

  61. margaret says:

I believe in prayer, and I would like for everyone who does to pray for my next door neighbor, Linda. She worked in her yard some last Wednesday, and later complained of hurting in chest and was having trouble breathing. Husband called ambulance and she stopped breathing on way to hospital. EMT’s brought her back, but she is now on life support and non responsive.Dr’s. say they can’t find reason why. If she doesn’t respond in next 72 hours ,they have suggested to family to talk about taking her off life support.. We have been neighbors for 53 years, our children have grown up together..

Thank you all in advance for your prayers , it is in Gods hand now.

  62. Margaret~~I am so sorry to hear about your dear neighbor, Linda. (I edited out her last name for privacy reasons) It will be a hard decision for her family to make but the doctors will know if she has any brain activity. One consolation is that she is not in any pain. As we get older, it is hard to see our life long friends pass on. I lost my neighbor of 40+ years six years ago and still miss her… Hugs, dear Margaret, prayers are going out to Linda’s family and you. We will leave it in God’s hands…xo

  63. Vicky says:

Margaret, I too will pray for Linda and her family.

  64. debl115 says:

Prayers out to you, Margaret, and to the family of your friend. I’m also asking for prayers for the family of a dear friend of mine, that was killed in a horrible drunken driving accident here on Thursday. She was on her way to work at 5:15 AM, and was hit head-on by a drunken driver, going the wrong way on a very busy freeway. He had taken a wrong exit (super wrong, considering that he needed to go South, not East, to get to his home). He was going 100 mph and had done a U-turn in the middle of the freeway. My friend, Morgan, leaves behind 2 children, a daughter, Erin, 30, that is one of my daughter’s best friends, and a son, Jon, that is my son’s best friend. And here, in Washington state, he faces between 6 and 8 years in prison. I am so infuriated about this whole thing, my state needs to seriously take a look at the laws that they have in place when it comes to DUI’s and vehicular homicide. I have absolutely NO tolerance for drinking and driving.

  65. margaret says:

Thank you all for your prayers.

Deb praying for your friend and family. Such an unnesesary and selfish act on part of this man. I too have a problem with the law and DUI. I feel that it should rate a murder 1 conviction , the victim suffered a heinous death, therefore in my opinion he is just as guilty as if he had shot and killed her. The laws seem to protect rather than punish..

  66. margaret says:

Update- my neighbor was taken off life support , she is not responding to anything but she is still hanging in there. …Thanks for the prayers.

  67. Newbie says:

margaret and deb, so sorry to hear about your friends. Know that Linda will be included in my prayers as will both of their families. Tragic that all this could have been avoided if two different drivers had decided not to drink and drive !

  68. Oh Margaret I came here to announce the death of Annette Funicello because it made me sad. Now I feel silly because of your close long time friend and I didn’t know AF personally. I am sending your friend a healing reiki and will keep her in my prayers.

Hang in there, stay positive if you can.

    Peace and Hugs

  69. margaret says:

Doctors took my friend and neighbor off life support and she lived about 10 hours ..I will miss her but we will be seeing each other again. God bless you Linda , I love you.

Thak you all for your prayers and well wishes. Mysticalpippin , Annette Funicello was always a favorite

Tender hugs, dear Margaret. May God give Linda’s husband, you and her loved ones the strength to get through this sad time. ~~SS

  72. mystical pippin says:

Margaret – My heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your good friend Linda. Please let her husband know they are in my prayers and I know its going to be hard for awhile but try to stay strong for him – he will need your friendship. And take good care of yourself too. Get plenty of rest you’re going to need it.

My goodness this seems to be the season of losing friends and family. I’ve got 2 other long time cyber friends who have had losses in their immediate family in the last month. Plus another has a brother getting his 3rd and final round of chemo for liver cancer and his father is going to have major surgery on Monday. He’s 80 so my friend is very scared. Hearing about everyone’s loss makes me tear up because I know what you’re going through and I’m a bit of an empath.

Hopefully the trial will offer some temporary distraction – Geez-us that sounds sick doesn’t it? I’m starting to think its changing me. I’ve been cussing more and getting angry easier from all the stuff thats going on with it.

  73. mystical pippin says:

Deb – I am so so sorry about your friend. Her family must be devasted.

I cannot tell you how much I hate drunk drivers too.
I don’t understand how all these bizarre circumstances come together that wind up destroying so many lives.
My sister’s only child, my parents only grandchild, my only niece was killed when she was 17 because she got into the car with her friend who was driving drunk at 8am. All her friends used to meet at this corner and walk to school together. They had been distancing themselves from Kristen because she was trouble. They told Gina not to go with her that morning because they could see she was drunk – plus high on Meth. but Gina wanted to go to the library before class so she told her boyfriend and friends not to worry because Kristen was like this all the time and nothing ever happens. Those were the last known words she spoke.

My sister eventually forgave Kristen but I couldn’t. I actually blame her parents more than anything because she had gotten into trouble twice at school for being high 6 months before. So what do her parents do when she turned 16? Instead of paying for her to get help they bought her a car.

One time in the 80’s, I was home for a family reunion my sisters and I were in the front yard when our neighbors drove by and stopped to say hi because they were driving upstate to watch their oldest son John who was 12, play with his team in a regional championship soccer game. They had their youngest son Brian who was 10 and his friend who was 9. Pat said she would come by after they got back in 2 days. But we never saw them again because on the way home they were ALL killed by a drunk driver who hit them head on. John was with his team on a bus so he came home to find out he had no family anymore.

Your friend’s tragedy really hits home. One of my closest friends was killed by drunk drivers 30 years ago but I still get upset when I think about him because he was a brother to me. His name was Michael and he looked just like Gomez from the Addams Family tv show – so thats what I always called him.

He was driving to work one morning it was 7am – and this couple that had just gotten married were drunk and drove across the highway and hit him head on. His twin boys were 4 months old at the time. The day after Jeannie told him they were having twins, he put this t-shirt on and wore it everywhere for a week – wouldn’t wash it either….it said SUPER STUD on the front. The boys never knew their dad except through all the wild and funny stories we told them. They have 2 uncles and 5 aunts plus extended family like me but they still felt the loss. To this day Jeannie has never even dated anyone. We live far away from each other now but she’s still one of my closest friends.

In all of these situations – every drunk driver was unharmed. The guy who killed my neighbors had a passenger in his car who died too. WHY do the drivers live????
The accident with my niece happened when Kristen drove over a cement medium to the oncoming side. There was only one vehicle on the road. A mini school bus whch slammed into the passenger side. The driver claimed she injured her neck.
There were multiple times my sister and brother in law went to court only to sit and wait, then be told it was delayed. Each time the bus driver would be there complaining non stop about her injury – never mind that she was alive, and it was in fact her vehicle that caused the death of my niece. She sued my sister and husband too – along with Kristen’s parents…. and only god knows why but she got a settlement. Turns out she had 3 other cases in which she sued someone for “injuries”.

Oh geez I am so sorry for babbling Deb I didn’t realize this rant until now – I didn’t mean to make it about me. after seeing your post it just flooded out I guess. what happened to your friend is so awful for so many people and its so unfair. Please know that I will keep you and your family and your friend’s family in my prayers.

  74. debl115 says:

Margaret, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear friend. Prayers going out to you and her family. Pippin, thank you so much for your words (and I would hardly call that “babbling” 🙂 ) I grew up in a small town of 250 people, in Montana. There were only 16 in our graduating class, and one week after graduation, one of our classmates was killed in a drunken driving accident (of course the driver only had minor injuries). Don, the boy who was killed, was my twin brother’s best friend, and they had planned on going to the same college and sharing a dorm room. That was my first experience with a drunken driving death, but it has never left my mind, even though it has been 38 years ago. It’s just such a selfish decision to make, not just the fact that they drive drunk, but that they choose to take someone else’s life in the process. My brother tried to get Don to ride home with him that night, because he knew that the driver (who was also a classmate) had had way to much to drink. Don chose to ride with him, because nobody else would. I know that still weighs heavy on my brother’s mind, thinking that he should have insisted that Don ride with him.

thanks. As you can see I lost quite a few people due to drunk drivers. Thats why I hate them so much. Thats why I get so emotional. Again I am so sorry about your friend. My heart goes out to her children. It just isn’t fair.

  78. Newbie says:

deb and mystical, I wanted you to know I didn’t read prior to making my simpleton statement. The comments re drunk drivers and losses to you both should not have been interrupted by my “nothing” comment. I aplogize, like I said, I didn’t read before commenting.

  80. calipatti says:

Its difficult for me to follow comments in here.
    M. Pippen, I read your article about the San Jose rape and lawsuit. Horrible young people.
I have 3 sons and they are not perfect. I do know they would stop others from doing that. How do young men do that?
The case I posted is almost the same but is in Nova Scotia, the difference being the young men have not been arrested. Hackers have threaten to post online their names if LE doesn’t act.

  81. mystical pippin says:

Newbie – don’t worry I didn’t think anything was wrong with what you said. In fact I think you’re right. It was Deb’s friend’s awful tragedy that set me off….

CaliI know lately its hard because there is so much going on in the world and personally with Deb and Margaret. So I guess we’re jumping about through the different events. but its temporary (hopefully). I am saddened by the Boston bombing its horrible and it makes me wonder when is it going to stop. When we will wake up and do something about the prevalent violence in this country?

I also saw an article about the rape in the Nova Scotia. I think Snoopy even mentioned it last week. I’m going to be following that too. I am amazed they haven’t been arrested.
Cali bless your heart 3 boys? my goodness thats wonderful. I wish I had had at least one. I never wanted to have children when I was young. Now that I’m old I wish that I had.

  82. debl115 says:

I need to make dinner right after this is over; but I can probably come back after that. We’re probably looking at two hours.

If not today; maybe tomorrow. 🙂

I didn’t mean to make light of your situation. I had no idea. You hang in there sunshine! We will talk later………When are you usually on line in the evenings?

  90. FYI~~I want to caution you that anything you put on this blog of a personal nature can be read by anyone who has access to the internet! I have had almost 1000 hits on this blog so far today and the day is not over.

There is oodles of material on the internet…I did a quick google (people who apologize too much) and came up with the following…

Why Over-Apologizing Is a Bad Thing

  91. Suz~~lol I am not qualified to diagnose anyone with BPD…. I have diagnosed myself as to being old and snarky…but that’s about it… Don’t be surprised if you apologize to me again and I tell you to zip your lip….

  92. Suz~~I don’t mind if you discuss any issues with Sarah. I wanted to throw in a reminder that anything posted on the internet, even if deleted is permanent.

    Hi Everyone…

Been up in the big city further up the road in the great white north from where I live as my mother is still in hospital here. I’ve been staying with a good gal pal of mine. Holy moly…this morning we had a bomb threat downtown. And where was I? Right there amongst it all! The police and firemen had every intersection blocked to downtown core…pretty intense, let me tell ya. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough, but they were evacuating all the buildings, so it was grid locked.

Anyway, sorry can’t recall who asked, but the site I mentioned earlier is ” Egg Tree News Blog” and you can google it if you’re interested. I won’t post the link out of respect for my pal Snoopy. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I am a tad warped and need the release of laughter from time to time.

BTW… The threat was a false alarm or hoax as the bomb squad and the sniffer dogs didn’t find anything. Like life isn’t stressful enough right now!

    Cheers
    ~Red

  94. Redrelaxed says:

I see Suz has posted the link…been a stressful day…I didn’t read up before I posted. Thanks Suz!

  95. Red~~I don’t mind if the links to Egg Tree are posted here…. I am doing my best to keep on topic in the Arias threads… I have many readers who never comment so have to try and satisfy the masses…. I must take a screen shot of my stat counter and post it in here…

  96. Redrelaxed says:

Totally understand that Snoopy, that’s why I asked. Great to know there are masses to satisfy my friend, you run a tight ship and it’s appreciated. Ummm…come on lets have a gander at the stat counter!

I’m spending a fair chunk of my time here today, and I’m assuming that if I’m watching the trial (as I’ve missed it live the last few days) and click on the link here, that accounts for the hours spent here? Hopefully you’ll have time to answer this AFTER you’e had a good night’s sleep Snoop. Sweet dreams.

Why are there so many sinkholes now-a-days? Were the “engineers” wrong about putting so much cement and water pipes on Indian soil; I mean American soil? I thought it was a problem only isolated to Florida. I have seen pictures of sinkholes as far north as Canada for crying out loud. Not to mention the ginormous one in Guatemala.

The stat counter? I am in the top ten. I do keep Mainstreamfair “up” on a separate page. I refresh every so often. There are times when I take the page down and bring it back up. I wonder if that’s why my area is registering so high. I only do so to catch the latest and greatest of the superior minds congregated here. Not to mention I can’t wait to read Snoops’ next article.

My name is Sarah. (Hi Sarah) I am a Mainstreamfair addict. It has been 30 minutes since my last logon. (applause) I knew I had a problem when my family left to go to the beach without me. They said I had a MSF problem and wouldn’t be back unless I dealt with it. That’s when I realized I needed help. I contacted 1-800-DIS-SNOOP. They were very understanding. The counselor recommended that I take a hammer to my computer. I did. The freedom is indescribable. I would highly recommend anyone with a Mainstreamfair addiction to contact them. It will change your life. You will actually get to know your family and pets. (Is that a good thing)?

WOW lots of coffee chats going on down at Jonathans these last 3-4 days ya?

Snoopy – I was looking at those pictures of Bolingbroke. They look so surreal. Did you see the picture of the bridge? I think its #28. So whats your daughter doing to keep the water out and is she ok? Was this some kind of flash flood storm? April showers huh? We never get these kinds of rain storms where I live. Its a lot like Vegas here in Northern Calif. very dry most of the year.

  108. mystical pippin says:

Dang I forgot to post to the rest of you.

Red It was me who asked you about ET and I did see Suz’s links so Im gonna check them out. 🙂 – The bomb scare – wow – scarey. what is going on in the world? What would you have done if you had to move your mom. btw I hope it isn’t serious why she’s in hospital.
About the Texas blasts – I heard on the radio that its too coincidental that they occured on or near the Waco anniversary. (probably some conspiracy theorists but then anything is possible)

SarahAre you addicted if you open a page and leave it open for hours even if you’re not actually here the whole time? I need to know so I can get help if need be….. but shouldn’t it be DE-SNOOP instead of DIS-SNOOP cause the latter imply’s dissing. 🙂
I gotta kick out of what you said about elk grove. thats me! lol. btw I know of some programs that lets you surf the net without being detected or you can prevent sites from cookie-ing you and/or taking your info. If you want the links let me know (I will have to look them up so it might take me a day or two to get back to you on it)

Suz thanks for the links can’t wait to check em out

It might’ve happened because I put too much code in the post? or I screwed up the code. I know on the J-Visual Learning thread if I put too much in or messed it up it would make the post disapear. Can you check this out and if you see the post can you correct what I did wrong?

  113. Pippin~~I found your comment in Spam… it is showing now…strange things can happen when I have to put buzz words in filter…due to some insisting on using the ‘F’ word. or taking the Lord’s name in vain, other words which contain 3 letters in succession like “uck” will send a person to spam or moderation.. I have a troll who constantly tries to get in here and had to put part of their name in as a buzz word…

  114. Here is a post I wrote in Nov/2011… I have been rooting around in the attic a lot lately …. Maybe some of you may find this interesting while we spend time waiting for the trial to resume…

    Good morning Cafe clatch!

Got home yesterday after spending four days away, the house is still standing, and fortunately the creek didn’t rise. The ground hog however didn’t get the memo that spring was “supposed” to be early as it’s very cold here this am… but on a brighter note, al the snow has disappeared off the uncovered deck! This means that I can lug out the patio furniture after a good sweeping and scrubbing.

Pippin…my Mom has had four operations on her right hip since Jan 21, and I’m afraid the prognosis isn’t good. She is riddled with infection and can’t even move after this last surgery… so I would have had to rely on the hospital’s savy evacuation plan should the threat have moved near to her and the other patients. Or, if necessary I would have packed her out myself, as she only wieghs about 80 pounds ringing wet.

Taking a couple of days off, so requested my two beautiful grand daughters to spend the night as I was in need of some youthful exhuberance to distract me. The hugs and smooches are an added bonus! Tonight I am planning to attend the theatre where my niece has the lead role in a local production, and then Sunday it is back to harsh reality to where my mother is.

We all have our troubles, but my heart is aching for the victims of what happened in Boston and Texas. I don’t know what is happening in our world either, but I do believe it helps to count our blessings, and when the chips are down, MOST people are inherently good and prove it by their acts of courage, kindness and generousity. The two brothers allegedly responsible for the carnage at the Boston Marathon are not getting favorable reviews from their family members. I must get caught up on the background of these in the underground publications as I find the mainstream (no offense Snoop) media is not always a reliable source of the “real” story.

I hope Juan Martinez gets plenty of R&R this weekend so he can continue his valiant efforts in justice for Travis and his family. Similiarily, I hope Jodi and the DT all have luggage under their collective eyeballs come Tuesday.

Hope you all have a terrific day!

Hmmm…interesting…I took the addiction test Snoop…I scored 26, out the danger zone, but then I checked a few that did not apply as I am significantotherless and my puter is an extension of me, so really I could be wacko addicted. And…I don’t give a hoot.

  121. Sarah~~Maybe Dave will come alive after he plans to attend a Zimmerman hearing at the end of the month. The trial is scheduled for June 10th and he has his media credentials. He said he is not following the Arias case…I haven’t talked to him for a few days…

FTA: SNYDER, Texas (AP) — Remains found in a remote West Texas location last month are those of a 13-year-old middle school cheerleader missing since December 2010, authorities announced Friday.

Hailey Darlene Dunn’s remains were found near Lake J.B. Thomas in Scurry County on March 16, more than two years after her mother reported her missing.

  131. Karen C. says:

Thanks, Sherry- I was hoping after not having heard anything else that maybe it was someone else’s. Guess it took that long to ID her though. Sad, sad, sad.

  132. mystical pippin says:

Yes I heard about the 13 year old remains found after all this time she’s been missing. Sad….very sad.

  133. Sherry says:

YW, Karen C. Now, what killed her?

  134. a young 8 year old girl was stabbed to death in her home the other day by a stranger who got into the home. Her older brother was apparantly there or nearby and surprised the stranger when he came in the house. Then found his sister. This was in a town about a half hour away from where I live. So sad. I don’t know any details yet but I’m wondering why were the kids home alone?

  135. sarah0234 says:

Pippin: Her brother is 12. How close to thirteen he is; I don’t know. ( I use to babysit when I was 11 and 12; back in the olden days…lol). Also, this was in the afternoon; so I don’t know if it was after school or the weekend and the mom and/or dad just ran to the store. But, in this day and age I would not leave my children under 15 home alone.

I hope they did catch the monster.

My neighbor thinks I’m paranoid. I insist that she place special brackets on her childs window(s) and train the dog to sleep in his room. She laughs; but by golly she’s doing it. I pity the fool that steps into this cul-de-sac because it’s occupied by the Army, Marines and protective dogs. We are armed and dangerous.

  136. mystical pippin says:

Geez its a Casey Anthony wannabe

  137. mystical pippin says:

    Hey Sarah

I just now saw your post. I did hear about that dirtbags arrest but he has been primarily ruled out. The community where she lived is right smack up next to Placerville. What I don’t understand is why would people keep their doors unlocked like that all the time? I’ve read statements from people of that community saying it was the safest place to live.

In today’s world no place is safe. And Placerville – has had its share of crime. it may appear to be a small community because the town part only takes 5 minutes to drive one end to the other, but its a very old mountain community – been around since the gold rush and its bigger than Elk Grove or Folsolm land wise because of the hills and mountains within – the residents are a mixture of all sorts of characters – there are good people there too but its known as a place to live undetected because of the terrain. I lived there a long time ago for about a year in a house at the top of a “hill” (900 feet above town) way back off the road – long driveway – the closest neighbor was a stones throw but you couldn’t walk over there easily because of the hilly terrain we would always jump in our cars to visit because it was much easier. And at night it was very dark – its not like they have street lights in mountain communities.

We were constantly warned about mt. lions attacking – any time. plus bears, coyotes, sometimes wolves – even racoons are very agressive, you have to keep your garbage cans in wooden structures with strong latches or locks on them cause they always figure out how to open them. Whenever there’s a drought year and there seems to be one every other year or more, all the animals come out looking for food. Bears know how to and will open your door if it isn’t locked. In fact they will break windows to get in if they see food. Its happened to my sister several times. (she lives in a rural part of Tahoe but its all the same terrain and Placerville is a 30 minute drive south of the Lake.)

But I digress – anyway my point was that its not safe to keep your doors unlocked there even in the daytime.

  138. sarah0234 says:

Pippin: Nowadays it’s not safe to leave your door unlocked anywhere.

I was born in a big city and then we moved out to the suburbs; still close to the city. I dated a guy once that still lived in the city and his family left the doors unlocked! I asked why and he said that if somebody wants to get in they’re going to anyway. My response was; well do you have to help them? Crazy.

Just got back from my sons wedding. I cried like a fool. What is it about weddings that makes one cry? Of course, it was absolutely beautiful.

We were in the mile high area. If you ever want to feel like you’re on drugs without taking drugs, just go to a high altitude area. It feels like your brain is floating just an inch above your head.

They can keep their thin dry air. (We hydrated before, during and after we landed there.) My eyes were so red because they were so dry (people probably thought I had a medical mary jane prescription) and I had to buy eye gel drops. Be sure and take chap stick, lots of lotion and saline solution for your nose (we did). We had dry eyes, chapped lips, dry skin and boogers in our nose that felt like shards of glass! Nose bleeds! Yeah, we looked real purty’. Hey, but our hair looked fabulous. The air is so dry that your hair has volume and shine. It only took 10 minutes to blow dry. (I have medium long hair). Yeah; no! I’ll keep the high humidity. We could actually breath once we landed home.

Good to be back. Can’t wait for the verdict.

  139. Billionaire polo mogul John Goodman was just given a new trial! He was convicted of DUI manslaughter last year in Florida for killing college student Scott Wilson.

  140. mystical pippin says:

Re: Leila Fowler who was stabbed to death last week in Placerville community. The police took knives from the home for DNA testing. Rumors are flying everywhere insinuating the brother did it. IDK lets just wait and see.

I feel really bad for the parents but I still don’t understand why didn’t they take the kids to the little league game they went to? thats a family event. someone commented on another blog that it was too hot that day. That’s bull it was not that hot – possibly low-mid 80’s down here but Placerville is always about 7-10 degree’s cooler because its in the mountains.

  141. sarah0234 says:

I was surprised that Judge Perry had an opinion on the Casey Anthony case too. Seems to me that he saw it the same way we did. We all know she killed her daughter and dumped her on the side of the road. (She was too lazy to at least dig a shallow grave.)

  142. jayelle sea says:

Can you believe that Casey Anthony is living off her lawyers. Is that the, “rich man she met”, she alludes to. I would imagine that lawyer is probably regretting he got her off, considering, now its his life sentence to have to be connected to her. At the very least she was responsible for “neglect causing death” of a child, should have spent time in jail. She does not have any remorse.

ps. Same as Jodi, they both have that pouty entitled look. Like Martinez said, in his final arguements. Her feelings are “its not my fault”.. right to the end.

  143. Sarah says:

say what? How did I mess that up?

Well, here it is without my attempt of condensing.

  146. Sarah says:

Think Arias will be jealous after she gets wind of this kid? Now, he’s an “Einstein”!

    Boy As Smart As Einstein?

  147. More info on Leila Fowler, the 8 yr old who was stabbed to death a few weeks ago in her home. Her 12 yr old brother was taken into custody today and will be formerly charged tomorrow for Leila’s murder. Very sad. There have been a lot of questions I’ve been formulating in my mind. One was why didn’t the parents take all the kids to the little league game they attended that day. The 2nd question (really was my first because I didn’t know where the parents were) Why was a 12 yr old given charge to take care of his sister? Normally, I would think it would be ok but today so many parents coddle, spoil and even encourage their children to compete with one another. I think it will come out that there were many signs of problems in this home and there were issues due to it being a “blended” family, and that the parents put their own desires first.

  148. Sarah

That was fantastic and visually stunning!

  149. In other news today……Dr. Joyce Brothers passed away at age 85.
RIP Dr. Brothers you will be missed.

  150. Sarah says:

Pippin: I too just read where they arrested the 12 year boy. Unbelievable. I didn’t know about the blended family detail. This isn’t the first time that I’ve heard of this happening.

I agree with your statement about the parents putting their desires first.

    Leila Fowler’s Brother Arrested

  151. Yes Sarah its true – they are a blended family and I heard something odd about it but missed the whole comment so I am waiting to hear more about this family. I have a feeling there is going to be something weird about it ….. like the father lives there with his girlfriend and her kid or something like that?

  152. Sarah says:

Pippin: This video shows the 12 yr old next to his dad (about 36s) Wow, he’s tall for a 12 year old.

Suspect in Leila Fowler’s Murder Cannot be Tried as an Adult

  153. yes he is very tall isn’t he.

  155. sarah0234 says:

I usually don’t watch this show; Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey. An article caught my eye. Then I watched the videos. I’m posting it here because this woman makes Jodi look nice. I’ve never seen an adult act like this before. Talk about a spoiled brat. There’s two videos posted when you scroll down the page. (let me know what you think).

Just a little funny to get you through the weekend. In honor of Mothers Day. (I know it’s past)

    Men Experience Simulated Labor

  159. Sarah~~OMG, those two men probably ended up with hernias. It would have been hilarious if they had chit themselves. lol

  160. Newbie says:

Sarah, I was laughing with every contraction they had ! Excellent video.

  161. debl115 says:

I saw this a few months ago, and showed it to my hubby, our two sons and our son-in-law. I have never seen so many men cringe and say “oh, HELL no”, so many times,…it was hilarious to my daughter and me. I think this should be required viewing for all men 🙂

  162. Newbie says:

deb, I agree….required viewing for all men. My first husband bent over with severe stomach pain my first hard contraction. I was in a great deal of pain and he only made it worse as I couldn’t stop laughing. That was years ago when your husband might sit with you for awhile but being there for the actual birth didn’t happen.

  163. Sherry says:

Snoopy, could you put up the Share buttons so I can easily Twitter and FB your posts? Thanks!

  164. I will if you tell me how to do it….

  165. Sherry says:

    Dashboard>settings>sharing

BTW, did you know Bullstopper put up a couple of posts concerning those kidnapped girls by Castro? Do you know who she is? Do I know who she is? lol

  166. sarah0234 says:

O.J. is another evil person who cannot take responsibility for anything he has ever done.
This report exposes the real O.J. Wait for it. Near the end of the report O.J. makes a statement that is unbelievable. (If the quote is true.) I pray he doesn’t squeeze out of those prison blues and walk the streets.

    GMA on O.J.

  167. margaret says:

Heart breaking news for this family..I so hoped she could be found to rest in peace beside her sons..

Police giving up search for body of Susan Powell…..Huffington Post

  168. Vicky says:

Update: a bit of confusion cleared up. Fortunately, my friends nephew was trapped in the high school because debris kept them from leaving, the school did not take a direct hit. Although completely traumatized, her niece sustained only minor injuries. Her new hero is a first responder who carried her out of the school. 🙂 the teachers are to be commended as well.

I looked at photos of where their homes were, and I mean literally were. Most homes in that part of Oklahoma do not have basements because there is a tremendous amount of bedrock and the cost to break up the rock is extremely expensive. What I do wonder, is why schools in our part of the country are not required to build safe rooms. Especially in newer schools. We build huge football stadiums for high school football games, but don’t spend the extra money to construct safe places for children to shelter during a storm.
One OK (oil and gas company) needs needs to step up and provide grants for schools in tornado alley to reinforce school buildings. They make a killing off providing gas service. It would be a worthwhile investment for some of their profits.
My heart is breaking for those who lost family members today, but is dancing with joy for my friend whose family is safe. Right now, Jodi Arias is the last person I care to think about. She still doesn’t seem to have a clue about how precious life is.

  169. Newbie says:

Vicky, so good to read your friend’s family is safe ! Earlier a reporter said one of the schools had been hit by the 99 tornado and well rebuilding they had “reinforced” the South wall to withstand a tornado. That wall did not stand after being hit by the EF5 tornado. hmmm…..I’m with you on it being required that schools have appropriate safe places for children during storms/tornadoes.
I dread the news tomorrow as they are already reporting seven children are amongst the fifty one reported dead. The loss will be higher tomorrow.

  170. hey Snoops

been having computer issues – I sent you an email

  171. Karen C. says:

Don’t know where to put this, but it’s a home movie Susan Powell made, documenting her stuff, including things he broke of hers. Depressing to see how resigned she was to a bad fate- her hair isn’t brushed, no makeup- she looks and sounds defeated. But what a smart move of hers, to do. If he hadn’t murdered his boys, and this had eventually gone to trial- the impact would have been immense. So very sad…
    http://gma.yahoo.com/susan-powell-case-video-missing-mom-surfaces-case-134224837–abc-news-topstories.html

  172. Newbie says:

Karen, I just watched the video…..sad, sad, sad. You know the Arias case was so horrible yet the Susan Powell whole situation is still the worst imo.

To those who I sometimes email, it is not working again !

  173. Newbie, I gave up on Yahoo mail….gmail is way better…btw Internet Explorer can gone to the dogs.

  174. Newbie says:

Thanks for the info on yahoo.

Bravo tv is re-running the Healing in the Heartland concert put together by Blake shelton. If you find it being shown again, it is a good hour of entertainment with Reba, Miranda Lambert, Darius Ruker, Blake Shelton, Vince Gill, Usher and a few other cream of the crop entertainers. There is only fifteen minutes left on Bravo so …….

  175. sarah0234 says:

Has anyone else seen this? Hooray for the good guys! You gotta see this loser. To pick on a woman and two small children? Put him under the jail.

  177. Good grief!! That is taking things too far.

  178. Sarah~~I felt it best not to leave that video up…I hope you understand.

  179. sarah0234 says:

Sure Snoops: No problem. I just thought it was funny. But, I understand what you’re saying. Some people might not see it that way. Thanks for being alert.

  180. Sarah~~I found the video hilarious but I am sure there are those who would accuse us of ‘you know what’.

  181. Sherry says:

I’m listening to this interview and Dunn seems to be making it uop as he goes. He was so fearful for his life that he gets out of his vehicle to shoot two-handed at the one he fears. And he just wanted to go home to call the police…yeah, sure…. 😕

Is this a case you will be following, Snoopy?

  182. mainstreamfair says:

Yes, Sherry. I am interested to see how this case turns out…

  183. mainstreamfair says:

  184. Sherry says:

Great! I am interested in this one, too. Well, we shall now be watching jury selection for Andrea~

  185. sarah~~best to be safe than sorry…I best not google for pressure cookers..lol

  186. Ahhhhh, thanks, Margaret!! So Juan has a special lady. I am sooooooooooo glad for him. I did notice he did not wear a wedding ring.

  187. Vicky says:

Thought I’d stop in and say hello.
My mom fell last month and suffered a brain injury, so I’ve been helping care for her and my dad. my only entertainment lately is playing Candy Crush between work and parent sitting. I can’t handle the drama of trial watching at this point. LOL
I hope all is going well with you guys.
Steve and I are scheduled for two weeks in Spain next month. My kids have promised to take grandparent duty. It makes me nervous to leave them right now, but I need a break. It’s been a long six weeks.

  188. Vicky~~so glad to hear from you but sorry to hear about your mom. I do notice that you seem to be a champ at Candy Crush. I refuse to purchase any of their boosters so some levels drive me bonkers. My Chicago daughter and her hubby are also addicted to the game. I hope you and Steve get to relax in Spain and all goes well with your parents. Hugs, my friend!!

  189. HI Snoopy
I’m finally getting over a nasty flu. fever for 3 weeks straight. I’ve been sleeping for almost a month. all my pants are too big and slide off my hips. I feel like Rip Van Winkle. Going to try to get some medi-cal or medi-caid next week so I can see a doctor. I’m sure there’s more to it than the flu. I shouldn’t have gotten that sick for that long. Its possible though because I couldn’t sleep for more than an hour or two before I got sick. The AC broke in my new home and the landlords are bumbling idiots trying fix it themselves rather than pay a professional. So I endured 18 days straight without AC. The temperature outside at the time was topping out at 103 degrees and it wasn’t cooling down at night. FINALLY They brought in a portable unit for my room – at that point I had been sick for a week. I’m still P.O. because I’ve lost a lot of money not being able to work. I know I’ve got to let it go and I will its just that I’m still very weak and tired all the time.

  190. Hi Vicky,

Boy it sounds like you have had a rough 6 weeks. Your poor mommy how is she doing now? I will keep her in my prayers. Try not to worry while you’re in Spain. Trust your kids will come through and your mom will heal in time. You really need and deserve this vacation. OMG! Spain? How cool. You must tell us about it when you come back. I would be so excited to go there!
    Don’t worry be happy 🙂

  191. Pippin ~~good grief, you are certainly having a rough time. I thank God every day I live in Canada where we have good medical coverage. If I needed heart surgery tomorrow it is all covered and I do not have to pay any insurance premiums. Do you have any family or close friends to help you out?

  192. well one friend was supposed to bring me food or hot soup but completely flaked out. I called her 6x in two days and got voicemail every time. She texted me a few days later claiming her phone was broken. My landlords actually went and got me some soup from the deli down the street and enough for 2 days. It really was the thing that started my recovery. I wasn’t eating because I was too weak to get up and go downstairs to make something. It was awful, I kept dreaming that my friend showed up with soup and then when I woke up and realized it was a dream I started to cry. I’m better now at least enough to make food for myself. I don’t have many friends here. All of my long time friends live in other cities or states. My sister lives two 1/2 hours away. Another friend is on vacation with her family.

  193. Pippin~~I am glad you are feeling a bit better. I urge you to make a doc’s appt and get a checkup. It will put your mind at ease.

  194. mysticalpippin says:

Definitely I’m going this Thursday some other issues have come up that really scare me! (I think I have full blown diabetes) then next week apply for Medi-Cal Insurance. I’m pretty sure they can’t turn me down anymore now that Obama-care has kicked in, (I’ve been rejected twice before in the past because I had just under $3000 in bank and a car which they consider an asset that you can sell – therefore its income.) I know all about Canada’s healthcare system and how great it is. Bill Maher has been an advocate of it and has talked about it for years on his show.

  195. margaret says:

Pippin I certainly hope you are well on your way to feeling better. Wish I could help you, but you are in my thoughts and prayers. The one throw back on line is that you can’t run over with a pot of chicken soup..Take care of yourself and know I will be praying that you are well soon.

  196. mysticalpippin says:

Thanks Margaret. that’s funny about the online chicken soup – I never thought about that. Tomorrow I go….I let you all know what I find out.

  197. margaret says:

Well, I have come to a conclusion about myself … I am a hoarder ! ! ! I love to do crafts and I made myself a promise to organize and clean up my stash before the next trial,.. I could open my own store, yes it is that bad.. My grandother crocheted some beautiful thinga and I wanted to learn but I never was with her long enough to be taught. After marriage at the dumb age of 17, I took a nurses aid course and went to work on night shift at local hospital. An older nurse always brought her crochet bag with her for the quiet hours when everything was alright. She taught me how. I was hooked on embroidery, macrame, sewing, quilting , crocheting and later jewelry for my granddaughters. Now I have all these plastic tubs with all sorts of stuff I had forgotten about LOL My granddaughters all had crocheted baby bassinets and clothes. Their Barbies wore fancy crocheted gowns. I crocheted my one grandson soccer, football. basketball as pillows. He asked for a rebel flag, I did it but never again.. If I don’t show back up in a couple days , alert someone that i am buried in all this stuff.. LOL. I have to complete task before the MacNeill trial, wish me luck. I see Goodwill store in my future..

  198. Margaret~~well we have two things in common, trials and crocheting. A school teacher taught me to crochet when I was 14 years old. I started out making doilies and chesterfield sets then table cloths…I ended up making sugar starched Christmas tree ornaments and had many craft shows. I have crocheted in yarns too and knit baby sets for my three girls. I used to call myself a happy hooker as I hooked a couple of mats too. Due to old arthur, I am no longer a hooker. Good luck with sorting out the craft supplies…

  199. Vicky says:

    Hi Snoops
Here is a case you might want to follow. They are to be arraigned tomorrow.
This couple nearly starved two sets of kids. The level of neglect is horrific.
    http://denver.cbslocal.com/tag/lorinda-bailey/

  200. Thanks, Vicky…will check that out when I get a chance…Maybe some of the others would like to look into it and report back….I have got three pending cases on the go and doing a lot of sleuthing..

  201. This just came in my mail box…

    OMG…here is a good laugh…

Angela Corey subject of George Zimmerman’s newest painting

    http://www.clickorlando.com/news/angela-corey-subject-of-george-zimmermans-newest-painting/-/1637132/24063116/-/3q9ar3/-/index.html

  202. Vicky~~I read up on that case and I see a ‘mental’ defense in the offing. It looks like another case of CPS being derelict in not doing follow ups. Were the neighbors all deaf, dumb and blind??

  203. Marilyn N says:

Wonder why all these killers turn out to be “artists”? LOL

  204. Marilyn N says:

I seems all kind of weird stuff could be happening right next door to any of us!!! Scary!!!!

  205. Marilyn N says:

Margaret: You are not alone being buried in craft stuff.
I am an avid quilter. Happiest quilting is done during a good trial!!

  206. Vicky says:

    Snoopy,
My understanding is that neighbors did report. Additionally a DCF employee expressed concerns but was ignored.

  207. Vicky~~the DCF employee was ignored by whom? When DCF goes out to check on children, don’t they have to write up a report??

  208. Vicky says:

The worker who had knowledge of the first time they were charged and lost three children, tried to warn other workers that the family needed to be closely monitored when they got the baby she was pregnant with back following a foster care placement. This individual resigned from DCF a short time later because he didn’t like the way they did business and no longer wanted to be a part of the families should be preserved mentality.

  209. Vicky says:

Neighbors had phoned in several complaints during the months leading up TP the removal of the children. The state is reviewing what went wrong in that regard given the parent’s past.

  210. Vicky~~it seems we have an epidemic of negligent CPS workers!!

  211. margaret says:

My prayer for the New Year was that our children could be safe loved and taken good care op. My heart hurts because it seems every day there are more and more dying at the hands of people who should be keeping them safe. ,And we don’t hear about all of them.. Heartbreaking.

  212. HEY NEWBIE! I can probably help you if you don’t have Windows 8. So tell me your Operating System is (windows xp, or windows 7 hopefully?) and tell me some of the problems you have when trying to post something.

Pardon my having to put these comments up the way I am doing. I have a computer that does not suite me at all. I breathe on a key and come up with something brand new or my comment won’t go through etc etc. I can’t even find where I can just type out a comment and copy and paste it…..grrrr.”

I’m going to help you find a real easy and quick program to use for typing your message then copy it to paste in here (or anywhere else on the web). There are two. One is called Wordpad and the other is Notepad. Both of these programs come with Windows XP & 7. I use Wordpad because in that program you can do a little formatting if you want to. For example change the font, make indentations, etc. They are both in C:Windows/System32/Notepad or C:Windows/system32/write.exe (this one is wordpad.) When you get into the system32 folder scroll down until you see the names of the program as they are alphabetized. They won’t be inside any folder just a little icon and the name write.exe or notepad.exe – when you see one of those icons right click on it and select “Send to” on the pop up menu. then choose “desktop (create shortcut)”. Now you have the program on your desktop and just click or double click on it (I always forget to say double click because I set my pc up to only have to do one click to open programs)

Anyway these programs are easy to open and then type your message. when you’re done, just highlight the text and copy it. Then come over here and paste the message into your post.
let me know if this worked for you ok?

  213. Vicky says:

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

  214. Thanks, Vicky….I just finished a Birthday celebration ….had an early one yesterday too,…I feel so fullish…

  222. Hey Snoops
I’m watching the Live feed of the Oscar Pistorius verdict here:
    Live Feed

  223. Its super long – the judge is summarizing the trial – she’s interjecting her opinion of the witnesses testimony that dealt with the screaming sounds – which she doesn’t believe to be accurate.
