Tragic online love triangle built on LIES

Will the internet be the ruination of us all? When you think that you have heard it all, along comes another bizarre one. Nancy Grace was discussing this triangle on her show tonite and I thought you may be interested.

Two middle-aged lovers who started affair by BOTH posing as teenagers… before torrid romance drove Sunday school teacher to murder ‘rival’ over woman who didn’t EXIST

Thomas Montgomery began an unplanned online affair with a girl he believed was 18-years-old called ‘Jessi’
Montgomery told ‘Jessi’ he was an 18-year-old Marine
When Montgomery’s wife discovered the affair she sent ‘Jessi’ a photo of her 46-year-old husband and their two children
‘Jessi’ broke off the affair and began a new one with Montgomery’s 22-year-old co-worker Brian Barrett
Montgomery became so jealous he shot and killed Barrett
It turned out ‘Jessi’ was in fact a 45-year-old woman called Mary Shieler who used her own daughter’s pictures to send to men online

The chance encounter online between a gorgeous young 18-year-old girl named Jessi and a handsome 18-year-old marine called Thomas Montgomery seemed on the surface to be innocent enough.

However, what Jessi, whose online name was Tallhotblonde, didn’t know was that her ‘sweet sexy Marine’ was actually a 46-year-old married father of two from Clarence, in upstate New York.

And what Montgomery didn’t know until it was too late was that the beautiful girl who sent him underwear and promised marriage was in fact a 45-year-old woman called Mary Shieler who lived in Oak Hill, West Virginia.

EEK! Another story from my hometown area, and I grew up in Clarence! AAGGHH! I’m going to have to ask my folks this weekend what they know about this one. Hopefully, very little! “Jesi’s” moniker was actually “talhotblonde”, misspelling “tall”! And she was a frumpy little piss-ant in real life. Clarence is a nice town, the antique-dealing capitol of Western New York, with the Oldest House in the area and a massive cave system supposedly extending to the Finger Lakes region which was used locally as part of the Underground Railroad back in the day. I had school friends who grew up in an old Quaker meeting house there, with separate male/female entries yet, and the most delightful barn. An old Abolitionist hotbed. Last really huge thing that happened there was the airplane crash some years back, jet fell right on a house in Clarence Center- pilot fatigue. The runway was only a handful of miles West…. it was night and winter in Buffalo-area, naturally….

As for this case- I just saw NG show that had it on. What fools we mortals be! Especially for having a TWO-YEAR VIRTUAL AFFAIR! No S-E-X, for pity’s sake!

How PATHETIC is that, anyway? Yoicks!

I did see this movie (LifeTime ?) and thought it was done well. I also read somewhere that the young man who was murdered, his family wants TalHotBlonde charged with ? Since her being charged will not happen with the way our laws are written then they are putting her real name out into the public. I hope her life will not be pleasant or peaceful for quite some time.

Lifetime was playing it heavily last few days, but I didn’t make the connection with this story until seeing this and the NG show last night. I did have a chance to ask my Dad today if he was familiar with this one- no, the oppressive heat is the big concern today. An on-line romance leading to murder is way out-there to his generation….

  4. It makes you wonder who is really sitting in front of the monitor or curled up in bed with their laptop or IPad. Did I hear correctly on Nancy G that the old guy said he was impotent? Nahhhhh. I wonder if he felt that he could win the young thing over with sexy words and if they ever met he could just whisper in her ears. Now the old girl was something else. I think she should be charged but I cannot imagine what category to put her in. The way she exploited her daughter shows what a sick mind she has. Can you imagine how devasted her daughter must have been when she found out her mom was a cyber stalking pedofile. Well, the young man who ended up dead was almost a minor.

I still have to figure out how someone can be satisfied without the touchy feelie thingies… you get my drift. LOL Maybe I am missing out here… I should practice some oooooooo’s ahhhhhhhhhhs and ooooooooooo my goooooooooooood

Ahhh Snoopy, Your so funny. I believe loneliness combined with the feeling of not being understood by anyone and feeling completely unloved are very strong motivators in life.
This ONE old/young woman in cyberspace was his only chance in life at a true and complete love.
At least that is how I see it. Common sense and the reality of life went out the window or his mind.
Being lonely in a relationship is much deeper than loneliness when a person is alone.
    At least I think so.
He was pushing 50, not handsome, not wealthy and might have felt this was the dream lover he had thought would never happen for him.
Here she was, all his … his last chance for success in life with a beautiful girl/woman that understood and loved him
Pretty powerful feelings. Stupid but powerful.
All he needed was a mirror and he could have saved himself so much pain..(humor)

  6. Cali Patti~~that last line of yours has me laughing so hard…. thank you! thank you!

The old guy did have a wife. Why didn’t he just put a bag over her head and pretend? One good thing we women can do if we need a little spice in our lives, just close your eyes and your partner can be Tom Sellick, Brad Pitt or the gorgeous fireman next door. The fireman next door may be able to reel out a bit more hose but a half a loaf is better than none.

  7. They say that sex is like riding a bicycle. I think the old guy forgot to take off his training wheels.

Did you get a load of the dialog going on between the Red Hot Lovers, as presented on NG? “I wish I had my Tommy back!” Lawdie, that’s just so pathetic and atrocious. She never had him to begin with! He didn’t EXIST! If it wasn’t for the poor young dude (A Buffalo wing-eating, pool-playing, Regular Guy, yet!) being dead this would be the funniest thing ever.

  9. Karen C~~yes, I watched NG last evening and heard the dialogue between the two old farts. They had no imagination at all. Heck, I am lots older than both of them but could teach them a few tricks. Believe me, I am not making light of the death of the young man. It was a tragic thing to have happened. I can’t help but imagine the two old fogies (con artists) conning one another. It is too bad that both did not end up behind bars. Mary was the cause of Montomery going beserk.

  10. shyloh says:

The trick is (not that I have any experience mind ya) Is WHERE IS THE DARN WEBCAM???? GOT YA! If everyone used them. This crap wouldn’t happen!

  11. cali patti says:

I think many people think they are more than what they are, really. Better looking, smarter, and more deserving than how they are living. They are living life just waiting to be discovered by anyone. I am not refering to celeberty status, just in life. So when a person comes along that feeds that latent fantasy they hop on board with all they have. They are finally understood and appreciated for what they think they have always been and deserve to have. Most men I have noticed think they are better looking than what they are.

  12. Shyloh~~the web cam is either broke or the old fart has an outdated computer.

  13. Cali Patti~~ beauty is in the eye of the beholder and is only skin deep. I have known some handsome dudes that are so full of themselves when they are really full of poop. My hubby was handsome but both inside and out. He was a rare find.
