Snoop’s Hodgepodge/Anything goes~~~

George Zimmerman’s website raised over $200,000. Mark O’Mara will inform the judge of this tomorrow, Apr 27th when he attends a scheduled hearing. Mark thinks that the bond may have been more than the $150,000, had the judge known about the funds received. Zimmerman’s website has been shut down and he will not be communcating on the internet in any capacity without permission from O’Mara. O’Mara & Anderson Cooper-Video

Steven Powell~~ Jury selection will start on May 7th and likely last about two days. Once attorneys start calling witnesses, the trial should last about a week. The entire court process should take a little less than two weeks.

The state has already submitted its list of potential witnesses for the trial. It includes more than a dozen people, including officers from the West Valley Police Department and Jennifer Graves, Steven Powell’s estranged daughter and the sister of Josh Powell.

Isabel Mercedes Celis ~~reported missing Saturday, April 21….investigation ongoing….

Isabel’s post here

The jury began their deliberations in the trial of Baby Kate’s father, Sean Michael Phillips, at 6:30pm this evening and the judge said he would let them deliberate until 7:30pm. If they have not reached a verdict by then, they will resume deliberations tomorrow morning.

If anyone is following the trial of William Balfour, ex brother-in-law of Jennifer Hudson, you can read some updates HERE

If you nice folks have any juicy gossip or news makers…bring it on. I try to shy away from discussing religion and politics. Anything goes but keep it clean. TIA

  1. Sherry says:

Hoo boy!~ Lots going on right now with these cases. Praying for precious Isabel and baby Kate.

  2. Sherry~~that is only touching the surface. I want to make some time and learn more about the female soldier who went missing. Do you know anything about it? It has been in the news a lot lately. She left a bar with a sexual predator. Gosh, I don’t even know her name at this moment.

  3. Sherry says:

No, I haven’t heard about that one! It doesn’t sound good but I’ll pray for her to be found, too.

You are like me, it takes me over 15 minutes to say my prayers and everyone gets named individually…you are on my list, friend~~SS

  4. One other thing… I have been updating the individual posts daily when alerts come in. Not everyone notices what goes on in the sidebar. I think that I will make this post like the family room and put the updates all in here.

Sherry, I have a gut feeling that Isabel’s disappearance may be linked to a drug deal gone bad…I hope I am wrong..

  5. I found it, Sherry…now I am going to do some reading…

A 23-year-old Fort Bragg female soldier, who was last seen leaving a bar late Saturday night with a registered sex offender, may be in danger, investigators report.

“There is some information we’ve gathered that makes us concerned for her safety,” said Fayetteville Police spokesperson Gavin MacRoberts to ABC News.
A lead in the case of Fort Bragg soldier Pfc. Kelli Bordeaux, 23 led to the Wednesday deployment of a dive team in nearby Eastover, MacRoberts told CNN.

  6. Karen C. says:

Yup, that’s Kelli Bordeaux (I think her name). This one isn’t that weird (like, say, Baby Lisa weird). The pic she took of herself before going out that night was looking into a mirror and snapping with her Iphone. The talking heads are pointing out that, though married, she’s not wearing a ring, BUT wouldn’t the image be reversed IN A MIRROR? Also, she’s got the phone being held in the same hand, so likely her right one (not the ring finger hand)? She sent the pic to her sister. The bedspread is all messy behind her; If she was just on her way out the door, all purtied up, and expected company later, wouldn’t she fix up the bed at least? So, seems to me she wasn’t expecting to be making any serious time with some guy…

With isabel, what’s the deal with the uncle? Whose brother? How was he at the house so quick (per the neighbor, he came to her door to tell her about the missing girl- like just after 8am! So, does he live with the family? Just down the street?)

My son’s windows have alarms rigged up, and really thick older azaleas right up against them, would be a pain to get into (ground floor). That window for Isabel’s bedroom is the single most vulnerable window I think I’ve about ever seen! You could get through that creampuff in two secs flat- not the fenestration setup I’d have for my lovely, long-haired 6 yo girlchild. Nope.

  7. Karen C. says:

Drug deal possibilities- well, the mom is a nurse, has access? The neighborhood is mixed-use, resi & comm. Funny a security firm should be within a stone’s throw, with cameras it seems! We need cameras everywhere, it’s made a huge difference in street crime in London. Or, this could be border-type drug trafficking- that type of kidnapping has just soared within the last few years, in an 80-mile stretch along the border there. I’m hoping the cameras prove useful…

  8. Karen C~~I may have to hire you on as the chief detective. You are very observant re the pic taken in the mirror and no ring on the finger. Why wouldn’t Nancy G pick that up? Kelli’s hubby was visiting his folks in Florida…hmmm. That guy she left the bar with did not register as a sexual offender and they locked him up. I hear the old guy who owns the bar got locked up for non-payment of something or other. I have to do more reading.

I am not sure about Isabel’s uncle if he is the mother or father’s brother… he was on for a few minutes when this story first aired and I haven’t heard tell of him since.

I expect they will reach a verdict by tomorrow in the Baby Kate trial. Sean Phillips did not want that child because he was afraid of what his parents would say when they found out he fathered another one. He should be up on charges of murder instead of kidnapping etc.

  9. Well the prosecution had to be desperate in trying to tie Balfour to the gun used in the murders but how are they going to prove he fired it. No death penalty in Illinois… oh well… read on….

In bringing some of their most damning testimony against Jennifer Hudson’s former brother-in-law, Cook County prosecutors on Thursday relied on some colorful witnesses, including a former crack addict, a jail inmate and a man who waited more than two years to come forward with his story.

All three helped tie William Balfour to the gun used in the fatal shooting of the singer’s mother, brother and nephew. But the witnesses also underscored the difficulty of prosecuting a case in which many of the key players have issues that could undermine their credibility with the jury.

  12. Re George Zimmerman….Mark O’Mara does not believe that the judge will rebuke or increase Z’s bond. He does, however, believe that the judge will reprimand him if he finds out that Z deliberately withheld info re the balance of $204K in his fund. There is a strong possibility that Z was unaware of the balance of his fund acct at the time of the bond hearing, in fact, it may have been much less than the $204K at that time.

  13. Sherry says:

The reason Zimmerman bought a gun is in this video.
Here is a timeline using only known information:

Sherry, what great information and the video was well put together. It shows the human side of Z, thank you so much!~~SS

  14. Sherry~~thanks so much for that info… I will check it out right now..

  15. William Balfour admitted killing singer Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother to his girlfriend just hours after they were fatally shot, the woman testified Friday in what turned out to be a powerful day of testimony for the prosecution.

Appearing uncomfortable at times on the witness stand, Shonta Cathey told jurors in a steady voice that Balfour came to her West Side apartment shortly after noon on the day of the slayings and told her he had killed the mother and brother but that Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew was safe.

  16. Susan Powell’s emails told of turmoil

Susan told her friends in dozens of emails the fun-loving, affectionate man she married in her home state of Washington in 2001 had changed into a surly, moody, controlling person she feared could harm her.

Now that’s some usable hearsay! I’m so glad she let others know. So many women don’t out of embarassment or they take the blame for what is happening to them.

    George Zimmerman’s new website

  19. Sherry says:

Thanks, Snoopy. I’ll pass it along to my readers, too.

Oh, and thank you for linking to RH’s blog posts. I’ve been having computer issues so I’m hoping I can catch up on reading more on the Martin case tonight.

  20. Here is the link to Richard Hornsby’s blog…lots of good reading about the Stand Your Ground law and the Zimmerman/Trayvon case…

  22. Sherry says:

Circumstantial evidence against Steven Powell key, says former judge

TACOMA, Wash. — The opening two days of the Steven Powell trial proved to be quite eventful.
One of the charges against him was dismissed, any significant talk of Susan Powell was banned from the courtroom, and Susan’s family felt extremely frustrated.

But based on the evidence that was presented in court during the trial’s third day, at least one legal expert believes prosecutors are well on their way to getting a conviction. “I think the facts are pretty heavily stacked in favor of the prosecution,” University of Utah law professor and former federal judge Paul Cassell said. “It’s a very tough case for the defense.”

Cassell said the pictures of the young girls combined with what he called “overwhelming circumstantial evidence” should result in a conviction of Powell.

  23. Sherry~~the trial resumes tomorrow morning. I believe the defense only has two witnesses when it is their turn. I hope they can nail the SOB.

  24. Re Steven Powell’s trial… the state rested their case and the defense did not call any witnesses so rested.. closing arguments will begin tomorrow and then the jury will start to deliberate.. The defense is filing a motion…I am not sure what it is for…

UPDATE 10:27 a.m. PST: “Your honor, the state rests,” prosecutors said after Jennifer Graves finished testifying.

“Your honor, the defense rests,” defense attorney Mark Quigley said, calling no witnesses.

The jury is excused for the day. Closing statements will begin tomorrow. The defense is filing a motion that will be heard at 1:30 p.m. PST.

  25. Sherry says:

    http://petersonstory.wordpress.com/2012/05/24/emergency-motion-court-date-tomorrow-for-drew-peterson/

“Emergency Motion” court date tomorrow for Drew Peterson
UPDATE: Since the motion is impounded we won’t be able to report more about it unless someone else leaks it. We’ll let you know if that happens. It’s likely that there won’t be an actual court appearance tomorrow.

  27. Vicky says:

Snoopy, I have tried several days to comment at Dave’s and can’t. All goes poof. I would very much like to leave the following message for Mr. McIntyre.

Mr. McIntyre, Bless your heart, the sleep fairy seems to have sprinkled too much dust on you. Please share this information with the individual for whom it would do the most good. In case you haven’t heard since you woke up, Ms. Anthony is no longer incarcerated and is living somewhere in Florida for the time being. Since it appears you must have been out of touch for some length of time, your valuable time playing catch up would be much better spent locating Casey. Especially given that she plans to move to Coasta Rica once her probation is complete. So time is of the essence. If you can’t locate her in the short term, might I recommend keeping track of her scheduled civil court appearances over the next year and tracking her down at the courthouse. A YouTube message to her might be another useful venue as well.
However, you might be distressed to learn that Ms. Anthony no longer seems to be interested in being reunited with her daughter. If this turns out to be true, a quick visit to her parents house might provide you with the audience you are so desperately seeking. Last I heard, Casey’s mom might be just the ticket.

  28. Vicky~~Mission accomplished… laughed so hard that I had to make a pit stop after I read it…lol

  29. Karen C. says:

I haven’t been able to comment at Dave’s either (it was about Dersh the Bombastic- I saw him work a room in Beantown once- Yoicks!)- so I can’t comment there but James McIntyre can???!!! Hah! I just hope Dave’s folks are OK….

  30. Ladies~~Here is what I do to comment at Dave’s.

Type your comments in notepad….when you go to Dave’s log in…even if it shows your name as being logged in… Paste your comments…be sure cursor is below the comments… click preview post… then click submit… If that doesn’t work, I am at a loss.. It seems like SS keeps timing us out… Good luck!

I just pacify Mr McIntyre as it seems he has no intentions to cease solving all those cases….

BTW, Dave is at the Task Force meeting now re Stand Your Ground..he started a new post at SS… he also told me that he has the moderation turned off so you shouldn’t have to sign in… I have to log in if I want my name to show… oh well…

  31. Vicky says:

Snoopy, I am still unable to comment at Daves. If you would be so kind as to c&p on my behalf.

Now I’m really upset! At nearly 7 years of age, little Miss Gonzales can only count to forty in Spanish? My three year old grandchild can count to fifty in English and Spanish. And she most certainly has mastered additional words and phrases in both languages. She is even capable of carrying on a conversation. Although it is difficult at times to understand what she is saying. It is now obvious that this poor child is being neglected and is receiving little or no education.

Snoopy, Before Mr. McIntyre even thinks of taking a vacation, he needs to turn his information over to the New York State Department of Education and CPS as well. I realize how exhausting it must be to bring oneself up to date about the latest happenings after being away for over a year, so I feel it is incumbent upon a man of such superior investigative and consulting skills to cover all the bases.

Please Mr. McIntyre, forward this information to individuals and organizations who can do something about this situation, and while you’re at it, look into Casey’s possible involvement in the kidnapping, since she has claimed through her attorney that Caylee has drowned in a tragic swimming pool incident. I for one would sleep much better knowing that you are making up for lost time by tracking down Casey, and establishing communication with New York State officials as opposed to reaching out to members of a blog with no ability or authority to investigate an obvious abuse of kidnappers powers and responsibilities. Unbelievable. A seven year old who lives in a bilingual home and can only count to forty in Spanish. This is an outrage! Please Mr. McIntyre, before it is too late, do something to prevent yet another child from becoming functionally illiterate. It is the least you can do for little Miss Gonzales.

  32. Vicky says:

Sorry, but Mr. McIntyre just makes it so easy for me to have a bit of fun. I tried your method, but still no luck. So, he is safe from me for the time being. Poor man is really quite pathetic. Living life from one conspiracy to the next must be exhausting.

I feel so sorry for Trayvon’s dad. It breaks my heart to think about what his day will be like on Sunday. I hope the task force meetings will result in significant changes to the SYG laws, not only in Florida, but across the country.

Btw, did you have a chance to read Judge Lester’s order for bond revocation?

  33. Vicky~~do you know where I can find the judge’s order for the bond revocation?

  34. Estee says:

Just want to add my 2 cents worth re: Mr. McIntyre….He certainly lives in La La Land along with the Anthonys. I know Dave is quite lenient about letting people speak their mind but shear fantasy is stretching it a bit far. I can take the tongue in cheek, but reading McIntyre is sooo overbearing. I’ve got to the place where I just scroll down past his remarks/ramblings.

  35. I was able to watch the sentencing of Powell live stream. The old SOB’s head was shaking when the judge passed out the sentence. He thought that he would be walking out of the jail a free man today. The judge asked Powell if he wanted to say anything before sentencing and he said no. He would not offer an apology to the the mother or the girls that he took the secret pictures of. I did not hear anything about the time already served being taken off the 30 months. There are a lot of stipulations that went with the sentence one being he is not allowed to use the internet or cams.. I will update when more news comes in.

Steven Powell sentenced to 30 months for voyeurism

  36. Vicky says:

Well, at least the SOB will at least spend some time in prison. I wonder how long it will take him to violate the terms of his post release probation. I wonder if he will be forced to register as a sex offender.

  37. margaret says:

I cannot believe he only got 30 mos, and with time served it will be less than two years. Maybe he will go and fall down that hole they threw poor Susan down. These perps can do whatever to little children because it will only be a slap on the wrist.. The Putnam county gang got a much, much longer sentence for a few pills… I would not be surprised to hear he has attacked a child…

  38. I noticed that Jennifer sat with the Cox’s while Alina sat more or less beside herself. It is sad that the two sisters are alientated from one another. Alina supports her father. I wonder if he has molested her or has her so brainwashed that she thinks sex with him is proper.

  39. Vicky says:

Snoopy, Have you heard anything about the story below? I was shocked to read that teen girls were responsible for human trafficking and even more surprised that no adults are suspected of being involved…Not counting the SOBs that paid to have sex with the victims.

OTTAWA — Police are hunting for a 17-year-old girl accused of forcing other Ottawa teens into prostitution.
In a disturbing announcement Monday, police said they were laying charges of human trafficking, procuring, forcible confinement and sexual assault after a number of teen girls, between the ages of 13 and 17 were lured to a Walkley Road residence in late May and early June only to be abducted and delivered up to adult clients.
The Ottawa Police Sexual Assault/Child Abuse Section investigated three incidents in late May and early June in which individual female victims were asked to meet at the Walkley Road residence “for social reasons” before being driven to other parts of Ottawa and forced into sex acts.
Investigators found connections between the three incidents, McGetrick said, and quickly identified the three suspects.
The two minors now in custody were arrested on June 8 and June 9 and face almost a dozen charges each, which also include abduction and robbery, assault and uttering threats.
One of the accused is further charged with administering a noxious substance.
